Kanto

Kanto is one of Japan’s regions, consisting of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Ibaraki, Gunma, Tochigi, and Saitama Prefectures.
(The spellings “GUNMA” and “GUMMA” are used interchangeably.)

The Greater Tokyo (Metropolitan) Area is said to include Yamanashi Prefecture.
However, many people consider the cities surrounding Tokyo to be part of the metropolitan area. The legal definition and people’s customary understanding differ.

KANAGAWA

It consists of 16 cities, 13 towns, and 1 village.
The population is approximately 9 million.
It includes cities such as Yokohama, Kawasaki, Sagamihara, Kamakura, and Hakone.
